My very first order from a very good friend - handbag cake for her daughter

and another cake for her two year old grandson :-)

The next order was a Nutella cake with nutella frosting.

Attended Calvin Mark's class 'East Meets West' when he came down to Artistiq recently.

It's been ages since I updated this blog... been MIA (missing in action!) Since my last post in January, I have been busy...
My oldest girl starting first year uni at Melbourne University and I went over to Melbourne with her to help her settle into her new place (renting with two other uni mates) and I actually was there for almost three months!

Attended a few courses at Savour Chocolate & Patisserie School -
Chocolates & Pralines Level One

Easter Eggs Level One

 Chocolate Flowers (didn't bring display back to spore; gave it away in Melbourne)

Attended a Two hours course on chocolate curls (didn't take any photos though)

Turrones-Inclusions & Infusions (and brought back four boxes! yummylicious!)

Petit Gateaux (gave them all to Benny who happened to be in Melb... )

French Entremets Continuing Education created by Paul Kennedy - Montmarte, Nation & Gaia
(kept some and invited my daughter's friends over - cakes feast!)

and the last course was the Chocolate Appreciation Class :-)

That's a lot of happenings while in Melbourne :-)

First Day of CNY

Lo Hon Chai, one of my favorite dish from young :-) (used to eat it on the first day of CNY at my aunty's place in Petaling Jaya) Never did get to cook it myself cos my hubby doesn't like the nam yee... but since this year, i had my mom and mother in law over and they also eat lo hon chai... and i found this recipe from Noob Cook Recipes :-)
it's yummy, delicious and even my girls ate some :-)

Bought yue sang from Imperial...
dishes for dinner : steamed fish, braised mushrooms with dried oysters, stir fried asparagus with garlic, sharksfin soup with extra crabmeat & sharks fins :-)

pretty challenging binding the sugar flowers cos it's so fragile!
